It has been a while....
since my last post. We are adjusting to having 4 children in the home. It has its challenges for everyone. Just when you think you have a moment to sit down they are crying about what one of the others is doing. So we are adjusting. We also have been working on their bedroom and putting their personal belongings up that we have received. So it feels more like home to them. They all need so much love and a stable environment. I have learned I can no longer procastinate about getting organized. This is a MUST!!!!! Learning to be more fugal. We go thru a gallon of milk in 2 days or less. Laundry never ends. We enrolled our oldest Granddaughter in school last week and of course there is an obstacle to overcome, she gets off the bus at the same time Carter has to be picked up. Luckily right now Wayne works that way and I can go wait for her to get off the bus then pick up Carter. Our 23 month old Grandson expresses himself by hitting and bitting them. So I am off to gather coupons for diapers, work on cleaning and laundry (since these never end I can't say finishing up, lol)

Great Start of the Week
As of Wednesday of last week I have had 3 of my Grandbabies come to stay with me. So things are pretty busy around here. I am learning and appreciating Mothers more. It is fun having them here and my Six year old Son loves it!
So, today, Monday, I had a double facial booked at my home at 8 AM. and was able to share our products with two Beautiful Women. While the Grandbabies played I was able to share our products with two Beautiful Women. So great to be able to work from home and earn money.

September is a very busy month for me. It has been a year since my last Pet Scan. I had a follow up appointment with my Gyn Oncologist the end of August but I had to reschedule for September 19th. This doctor is more than 3 hours away. I had my blood work done last week and follow up with my Medical Oncologist next week. I also have a meeting with a potential new client for my billing service.
Good news my Husband finally went back to work this Tuesday. Hopefully they will have plenty of work for a while. So thankful for all my business's they come in hand when the construction business slows up.

Beautiful morning
Have you noticed the sky this week and the beautiful sunrises. This morning while taking my Son to school I could not resist taking a picture of the sunrise. The sky was so beautiful, and thought I should share. The weather is beautiful too.
We get so busy with our days we forget to take time to enjoy the beauty of the day. So when your day gets stressful or hectic take a break and look at the beauty of the day.
Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Happy Labor Day
Such a lazy day. A great day to do absolutely nothing but rest. Raining outside, watching classic movies and resting. My oldest son and family has come over and brought food to grill out. My Son in Law is here with my 3 grandbabies. All four of my Grandbabies are hear so Carter (my youngest son) has someone to play with and be entertained.
I have found something that I truly love to eat - Frozen Grapes. Who would have thought something so simple would be so good and good for you. Since I have finished my cancer treatment in July of 2010 I have been working on improving my immune system and my cells. Chemo and Radiation takes so much out of you not to mention the weight gain from my treatments. I found out a few months after my treatment that cancer patients (or anyone really) should not eat processed foods. So I during a visit to my primary care physician I learned about The Center for Medical Weight Loss. I joined it in May. I had a complete blood work up and found that I needed Vitamin B12 (anyone that has gone thru cancer treatment should check into getting the Vit B12 shot. There are so many benefits. Also, found that my Vitamin D was low. Thru this program I have lost 20 pounds and still losing. I feel so much better since I have started this program and am no longer putting foods into my body that does not have any benefits. I have learned we eat for pleasure and should be eating to survive and feed our bodies only what it needs. I have lost over 10 pounds of pure fat and have maintained my muscles. Most time when we diet we tend to lose muscle. As we age it is so important to maintain our muscles. If you are interested in finding out more about The Center for Medical Weight Loss just click on their name and you can search for a location near you.
Have a super day and enjoy this day with your family and remember to relax!

Ovarian cancer survivor highlights awareness
Being an ovarian cancer survivor, I'm committed to writing an article on this devastating illness each September -- ovarian cancer awareness month.
I'm always hoping to report a breakthrough, but so far I've had to be pacified with the baby steps of research while 15,000 women each year die from this disease.
Although ovarian cancer typically isn't found until an advanced stage, it isn't due to a lack of symptoms. Typically viewed as a "silent" disease, ovarian cancer is actually noisy. We just tune it out.
Early signs and symptoms are vague, but a recent research study pinpointed a cluster of symptoms that occur more frequently in women with ovarian tumors, especially if they appear suddenly or last over an extended period of time.
This triad consists of abdominal bloating, increased abdominal size, and urinary urgency.

How to Work From Home
We often hear about Americans' losing jobs as employers send the work overseas to save money. But have you heard of reverse outsourcing: foreign companies hiring American workers, especially when a specific skill can only be found among U.S. talent?
I looked at two global Web sites where this is happening: Elance.com and oDesk.com, popular online marketplaces that connect freelance talent with businesses of all sizes around the globe, both of which say the growth in non-U.S. companies' hiring Americans is accelerating at a rapid pace.

Find out what career opportunities Teachers are turning too
Recent estimates from the American Association of School Administrators show that about 250,000 teachers across the United States could face layoffs in 2012 as states cut education funding. Yet we know that teachers have options, and many are relying on their Mary Kay business as one way to deal with this unfortunate situation.
