What happen to the #News
There was a time I had the most utmost respect for the news media. Over the course of the several years we have seen news go from being on at certain times of the day to being on all day long, to now they are a permanent fixture (or so they think). They no longer report news, they now create news, manipulate news and instigate news. It is has become very sad and to think these people are paid ridiculous salaries to do such things. I believe we should cut out all the opinionated and speculations. Anybody can do that and yes everybody is entitled to their opinions, BUT news is just that news, FACTS. Most the time now when listening to the the so called news I hear, what is your opinion on that? What is your speculation? What do you think is going to come of that???? Seems to me they are trying to cause trouble and create more problems so they have News to report.
We need to turn off this so called News and turn on some Laughter. #LiveLoveLaugh a lot more and let go of all of the #Drama. Life is to short.

Tubing Down Itchatucknee Springs
Sunday we went to the Itchatucknee Springs State Park in Florida and went tubing. This was the first time for my son. He had the best time. The water was so clear you could see the bottom. So pretty. A great day of relaxing and floating down the river, while my son was able to enjoy looking under the water and see fish and turtles. A great adventure for him. Thursday, May 15, 2014
When Life Isn’t Working According to Plan…
This hits home - after 25 years of marriage and not being happy you do wonder if somethings do not exist. When we were little we all had hopes and dreams and then life happens and we start just existing until one day we are lucky and wake up and realize we can take charge of our life. It took cancer to wake me up......... and to know that I need to start living and not just existing...........

When Life Isn’t Working According to Plan…
I am going to share something very raw and personal with you. It’s something I don’t often do in my blogs, but we are all one human community and in sharing this I hope it will connect with what is true in you and help you find your way to a deeper, more authentic way of being.
Telling the truth, even if it is not pretty, is transforming, healing and liberating, even if it is hard to admit to yourself or others. And so few of us share our truth in public for fear of what others may think. I want to share my truth.
As a doctor I have listened to more than 10,000 unedited, unvarnished stories of people’s real lives and their intimate truths. And this I have learned–that we are all part of the same human family with the same longings, dreams and struggles.
All of us dream, hope and yearn for happiness, love and success measured in our own way. What I have a seen is how we often stand in our own way by limiting ideas, beliefs and theories about life, the thoughts we get stuck on that keep us from the life and love we want.
What I want to acknowledge is that I have kept myself from a very big dream because I didn’t fully own it and instead held onto excuses, or was stuck in unconscious beliefs of why it was not possible.
I know the power of dreaming, of believing in and creating my dreams. In college, I knew I wanted to create healing in the world. I acutely felt the deep suffering of our human souls and the deep physical suffering of so many. I wanted to create more love, compassion and healing in the world. I didn’t know the exact way it would unfold.
But I went to medical school and found my way through my own illness to a new way of understanding the wonder of the human body. I learned from the inside out how we are connected to everything around us – the food we eat, our environment, how we grow and raise our food, the way we move, the rhythm and love in our lives.
In my struggle with chronic fatigue, I found a way out through the science of Functional Medicine and have been blessed with the ability to share it and experience profound blessings as a result. I have been honored to be part of transforming many lives and writing seven New York Times bestsellers designed to create more healing and love in the world. I dreamed that change into being. I knew I had a mission, a calling to share this radical new medical paradigm and I believed it and saw it through fearlessly.
But there are other dreams that have not worked out so well for me. I have two beautiful children and the blessing of extraordinary friends and community. But in the area of love I had beliefs and behaviors that kept me from having the love that I wanted.
After two marriages and a recent relationship that didn’t work out, I recognized that maybe it was “me,” how I choose, how I was, my behavior, what I thought and believed about love, that kept me from having the love that I wanted. The truth was that I just didn’t believe in love- and that is why I never manifested it in my life. I realized that my experience as a kid set me up not to trust or believe that true love was possible. All I saw was broken or half-lived relationships.
My parents divorced when I was five and my mother remarried a man she didn’t really love and had a horrible 40-year marriage. And my sister, who died last year, was married and divorced three times. Something screwy set us up for picking the wrong people.
My last relationship was better, deeper, more honest, but still not quite a fit and what I learned was that I didn’t believe in true love and didn’t even dream that it was possible, that I was perfectly capable of settling for half love or worse.
I now deeply know that it was my own thinking, my own refusal to dream the love I wanted into being, to even ask for it, that has kept me from it. And now, shifting that thinking, redirecting my internal compass I know that I can create what I want, I know I can find and experience the love that I dream.
But I didn’t get to this understanding by myself. It took work! I got help from Lauren Zander, a master coach, who started the Handel Group – one of the world’s leading coaching companies that forced me, however lovingly to see the truth about myself, who demanded that I own my dream and create it. I have been great at creating my dream in many, many areas, but not in this one.
In fact, there is a science to manifesting your dreams in every area of your life, a methodology that took me through a deep process of resetting, rewiring my thinking and emotions. It is called the Handel Method.
We all have dreams – dreams for love, for career, for our bodies, for our finances, for our health, for “fill in the blank.” But often our beliefs, theories and thinking get in our way of having full on happiness and living into our dreams. Getting help from a coach has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself. Think of it as therapy with teeth! I encourage you to try it.

Wishing you health and happiness,

The Guilt Trip Movie
I have been wanting to see this movie every since it came out but just never got to it. Finally today was the day I was able to enjoy watching it. I have a Roku for streaming and as a member of Amazon Prime have lots of great choices. I rarely ever watch TV or Movies but today is another rainy day so I thought I would do something different and take my morning off to relax and enjoy. I was excited to see Guilt Trip was listed. Yes, I enjoyed every moment of this movie! Take time and watch it and enjoy. Made my morning!
Loving my life and enjoying every
minute, hope you are too!

Beating The Odds.....
One Day At A Time.....
Wow, it was four years ago, when I was diagnosed with Stage 3B Endocervical Cancer. So much has happened since then. Seems like a lifetime ago. I am doing well I think for all I have gone through. No, my life did not ever go back to what it was before cancer, in which I am very thankful.
I have found out that life is very much worth living, experiencing and that I love life.
I had my appointment today with my Medical Oncologist and he said cervical cancer if it returns is pretty fast and usually see it within the first 2-3 years. He said I am close to the four year mark and am doing amazingly well, that it looks like I will beat cervical cancer. When I left the cancer center today I cried, this time tears of joy.

Awesome Conference
Just returned from Career Conference, a powerful 24 hours. Over 1500 people in attendence, great speakers and teachers. Such an amazing group of women to be around. Loved every moment of it. We stayed at the Crown Plaza had Riverfront view:
This place had the most comfortable bed, great night sleep and had a great view. The conference was simply the best. Love the motivation, inspiration and success.
So glad to be a part of such an awesome company, yes, even 17 years later.

A Beautiful Day
Loving this weather. Today was such a beautiful day and very warm. So the Children went for a swim. They had a blast. Just hard to believe it is March and hot enough to swim. The Hubby and I put up the new screen room I purchased from Amazon.
This is a busy week, Monday night I have a WMU Meeting, Tuesday evening is Relay for Life meeting, several doctor appointments this week. Then Friday, Mary Kay Career Conference, a great way to end the week.

Having fun being "GREEN"
We have been having rather warm tempatures here. Seems like Spring just skipped us over and went right into Summer. Can't believe the A/C is running in March.
I love flowers and enjoy watching them grow from seed. I decided I would have a Spice garden this year. Since the Hubby is working on a vegetable garden I would work on the spices.
You can use just about anything around the house to create your own greenhouse effect. Saran wrap, water bottles, orange juice containers, etc. The kids are excited, they planted Sunflower seeds. Egg Cartons are great for seed starters. I am thinking about decorating the empty nestle quick chocolate milk containers and using them as my planters/containers.
Cute Goody Bags for a good cause
I just completed putting together the goody bags for the Relay For Life - Beauty with a Purpose Party.
I love these little bags, they are so cute.

Spring Is In The Air
Ahhhhh, my favorite time of the year is near! I love the new time change and the weather this week is beautiful. Looking forward to the beautiful Spring Blooms.
I have become a HUGE fan of Amazon, just this past week I have ordered an easy instant screen door. Love to have the door open and enjoy the breeze without the pest (or having to buy a screen door). I also ordered a Swiss Screen Room. That arrived yesterday, so haven't even opened the box yet. Excited about having it in time for the pool.
My husband is working on his Container Garden and will have some in the yard as well. I think he has onions, potatoes, brussel sprouts, green beans, etc. So looking forward to having a little garden.
This morning I received an email on DIY Container garden ideas from the DIY network. Made me stop and think, okay, what is out in the garage I can use.
Have a super Thursday.

A call from a friend...
I received a call from a very dear friend last night. The phone rings and I answer and we says our greetings. I then ask how are you doing, she says fair. I could tell from her voice she was not herself. I said, umm I don't like the sound of that, what is going on. She asked if I could do her a favor, I said of course. Her Husband had just been diagnosed with lung cancer. Right then I felt like I had just been punched in the stomach. These are not the words you like to hear. Unfortunately these days I am hearing them more often. She requested that I put Him in my prayers and I agreed and also said I would get the prayer warriors on this immediately. I know how awesome it was for me to know I had people I did not even know, and they were PRAYING for me. He has already begun the "what ifs", you see her Sister passed away 5 months ago from lung cancer. As a cancer patient that makes it hard when you personally know someone that has passed from this horrible disease. BUT, our mental state is so important. We have to realize each person is designed uniquely, therefore each circumstance will be different. So, any of you that are reading this and believe in the POWER of PRAYER please lift this person up in prayer. I have another dear friend that I went to high school with and also during my journey she was always there to encourage me. Now is on a journey of her own with her Husband who is also in a battle with cancer. I just request that we cover them with PRAYER as well. See, you just don't never know who will begin their journey thru this horrible disease. It does not stop there, another sweet and dear person to me has begun her journey recently with lung cancer, she has never smoked in her life. Just know that cancer can strike anyone, anywhere, anytime. I never thought I would be one of those people receiving that call or hearing the doctor say "You Have Cancer" as well as my dear friends.
This is why I am participating in Relay For Life and have started my own fundraiser - all proceeds (profit) from my sales thru April 27th, 2012 will be donated to Relay for Life. If you are not familiar with the American Cancer Society, take time and visit their site. They do so much. I know during my time of need they were there for me and still are today.

Let Down Again
This has been a week. I have children that have been let down again. Last weekend the Grandbabies got to see their Dad and stay the night with him. They also got to meet his new girlfriend and was told they were going to have another baby Brother or Sister. The Dad said he is ready to be with his children again. Words are so cheap. Action speaks louder than words. It had been two months since they had seen their Dad or Mom. Well guess what a week has gone by and not even a phone call. All week the middle Child kept asking to go to her Dads. She even had a dream that her Mom and Dad came over together. Then she said they fight all the time. The Dad has not changed, he has already punched a hole in the wall of his new place, and talks to his new girlfriend the same way he did his Ex. Don't see this lasting long. Pretty sad though, here she is expecting her first baby and so excited and here he has 3 other children that he does not have the time to see. Oh yea, Mom called Monday first time they talked with her in two months. They just begged her to come and see them. That did not happen. All I can do is just love them and encourage them. Just sometimes you wonder what are people thinking? Or maybe that is just it, they are not thinking.

Satellite Vs Free TV
I just recently added another room to my Dish TV, added Blockbuster and canceled Netflix. Well I wish I had it all over to do again. I would not have renewed my contract. Blockbuster is not worth it. It takes for ever for you to go thru and find a movie and the movie is interupted alot due to "buffering". Also, Blockbuster does not have the selection as Netflix. This is going to sound crazy, but I have a little 13 inch TV hooked up in my room with an indoor antenna and am enjoying FREE TV. I know CRAZY! I love the classic TV shows and the free TV has it. I pay good money for Satellite and have numerous channels BUT a waste due to nothing I find of interest to watch. So now debating on dropping Blockbuster and going back to Netflix.
My Keurig
We have become great friends. Love having a great cup of coffee when I want it. I drink more coffee now than I ever did. I joined the Club Keurig, which is free to join, and received a 15% discount plus when I purchase 2 boxes I get 2 boxes free. I was quite pleased with that great promotion.

Post-chemotherapy cognitive impairment
Post-chemotherapy cognitive impairment - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If you have had chemo and are having cognitive issues that have lasted more than a year or have gotten progressively worse it is time to see a Neurologist or Neuropsychologist. Don't let people tell you it is normal to always be forgetful. What is normal is to ocasionally be forgetful. You probably will have other symptoms as well. People are always tellimg me "oh that is normal, I can never remember anything".
I have numbing sensation in my head, my mind is like a chalkboard that has been erased at times. This has caused me to withdraw and stay home. I use to be always on the go. Love socializing, now more depressed and frustrated because I know it is not normal and don't know what is going on. Now since I have had my appointment with the Neurologist it brings up more concerns. Praying that there is no tumor (of course that is my first thought) or not a stroke. Something is causing a lack of bloodflow to the brain or it could be a deficiency.
Anyways, people will continue to tell you it is normal and it is your age. I say GARBAGE, I am not old and a person my age should not be having these symptoms this is something that would affect you about 10 years from now. So pay close attention to your health and YOU will know when something is not right. Chemo is such a harsh drug noone truly knows what it can do. Each persons body handles things differently. I had allergic reactions to mine. I remember after having 2 allergic reactions of being scared of what it would do to me the next time. Luckily my doctor was on top of things and changed my chemo he said we know what it is doing to the outside of your body but we cannot see what it is doing on the inside.
