Xylitol
Also known as birch sugar, is primarily made from corn cobs or tree bark.
It is sweet but has a low glycemic index and it is great for diabetics since it does not interfere with the insulin response. However a medical professional should be consulted before use.
You could try Xylitol instead of sugar in your children, especially if they have trouble focusing in school from too much sugar consumption.
Did you know that every person makes a little xylitol inside of their bodies?

Easy Enjoyable Must Try
Want some delicious ice cream without all the sugar? Try Whipping Cream, 1/2 cup of honey and mix together then freeze. You may want to add fresh fruit, cinnamon, etc.
I love iced coffee but trying to avoid all the sugar. So here I put honey and cinnamon in my coffee cup, brewed my coffee and stirred good to dissolve the honey, pour over ice with your favorite milk, I used Chocolate Almond Milk. E N J O Y!

Mini Getaway
Off to have the Pet scan of my brain this morning, thank you for your prayers. I will be a guest of our lovely hospitals nuclear medicine department this morning so looking forward to being their guest and enjoy all the wonderful things they have in store for me this morning.

My little mini getaway was great. I was greated by friendly staff, escorted to a nice room, where they kindly checked my blood sugar levels then brought in my medicine in a steel box. Politely stuck my arm and injected the wonderful nuclear medicine. Then brought me a very nice heated blanket and turned the lights off so I could rest for an hour. Then I was escorted across the hall and was allowed to lay down and rest again with a head brace to hold my head in place, they kindly strapped my arms down so they would not fall or move, and then the wonderful warm blankets so I could rest another 20 minutes. Nothing like being treated like royalty. Of course I gave them a 5 star rating. My results will be in to my doctor within a day or so, but my follow up appointment is not until 8/2 so not for sure on when I will hear back but hey I have made progress the test is done. YIPPIE.

Healthy Eating Does the Body Good
There comes a time in our life that we have to take control of our health and the first step is taking control of what we put in our bodies. Have you ever thought of why we eat? I mean the true purpose of eating? Eating has become a pleasure, something we do for enjoyment, to reward etc. Actually eating is all about providing nutrients for our body to survive. Think about what you have to do to keep your car running, there are just some things you would never put in your car or things you know you have to do to keep it running. Our bodies are the same way. When we put all these processed foods in our bodies it makes it harder for our body to break them down so therefore our bodies are having to work harder to process the foriegn products we put in them.
I so wished I had this knowledge years ago, but I do have it today and am incorporating changes in my families diet.
